Bioengineering is an umbrella term encompassing work from numerous different disciplines and topics. For us bioengineering is engineering proteins (protein engineering). That means tapping into the most versatile and universal type of machinery nature provides. We use a semi- rational engineering approach. That is, combining insight from structural data and computational models with directed evolution principles and high throughput screening. We use protein engineering to develop labels and sensor based on proteins to provide solutions for cutting edge imaging techniques.
